Privacy Policy
Metrologist does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. It is an Android app that measures flat surfaces from a photo, and every calculation runs entirely on your device.
Camera
Metrologist uses your device camera for one purpose: to photograph the surface you want to measure, together with the printed reference stick. That image is analysed on your device to work out width, height, area, diagonal, and angles. The camera is never used to record or send anything in the background — it is active only while you are on the capture screen, and only after you grant the camera permission.
Your photos stay on your device
- Captured photos are processed in memory on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
- The app does not save your measurement photos to your gallery or shared storage on its own.
- The image analysis (via the bundled OpenCV library) happens locally; no image, pixel, or measurement ever leaves the app.
Settings you choose
Your preferences — the reference stick's length and width and your preferred display unit (centimetres, inches, or metres) — are saved in a small private settings file on your own device. This never leaves your phone and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Sharing a result (only if you ask)
When you choose to share a measurement, the app draws the numbers onto a copy of your photo, saves that image to its own private cache, and hands it to Android's system share sheet. You pick where it goes — a messaging app, email, files, and so on. This only happens when you tap share, and the destination is chosen entirely by you. We never receive the shared image.
No internet, no tracking
- The app requests no internet permission, so it is technically unable to send your data anywhere.
- We use no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising.
- There are no third-party tracking SDKs, no cookies, and no advertising identifiers.
- The only runtime permission the app requests is the camera — no location, contacts, microphone, or account access.
Device backup
If you have enabled Android Auto Backup or Google account backup on your device, the operating system may include this app's local settings in your own personal Google backup. This is controlled entirely by you and Google — we have no access to it. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

The app and this website link to the developer's site (cocode.dk), a LinkedIn profile, and the project's GitHub page. Selecting them opens your browser; those sites are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.

سیاست حفظ حریم خصوصی
متروژیست هیچ داده شخصی‌ای را جمع‌آوری، ارسال یا با دیگران به اشتراک نمی‌گذارد. این یک برنامه اندرویدی است که سطوح صاف را از روی یک عکس اندازه‌گیری می‌کند و تمام محاسبات به‌طور کامل روی دستگاه شما انجام می‌شود.
دوربین
متروژیست از دوربین دستگاه شما تنها برای یک هدف استفاده می‌کند: گرفتن عکس از سطحی که می‌خواهید اندازه بگیرید، به همراه چوب مرجعِ چاپ‌شده. آن تصویر روی دستگاه شما تحلیل می‌شود تا عرض، ارتفاع، مساحت، قطر و زاویه‌ها محاسبه شود. دوربین هرگز برای ضبط یا ارسال چیزی در پس‌زمینه به کار نمی‌رود — تنها زمانی فعال است که در صفحهٔ عکس‌برداری هستید و تنها پس از آنکه مجوز دوربین را بدهید.
عکس‌های شما روی دستگاهتان می‌مانند
- عکس‌های گرفته‌شده در حافظهٔ دستگاه شما پردازش می‌شوند و به هیچ‌جا بارگذاری نمی‌شوند.
- برنامه به‌خودیِ‌خود عکس‌های اندازه‌گیری شما را در گالری یا حافظهٔ مشترک ذخیره نمی‌کند.
- تحلیل تصویر (با کتابخانهٔ همراهِ OpenCV) به‌صورت محلی انجام می‌شود؛ هیچ تصویر، پیکسل یا اندازه‌ای هرگز از برنامه خارج نمی‌شود.
تنظیماتی که انتخاب می‌کنید
ترجیحات شما — طول و عرض چوب مرجع و واحد نمایش دلخواهتان (سانتی‌متر، اینچ یا متر) — در یک فایل تنظیماتِ کوچکِ خصوصی روی دستگاه خودتان ذخیره می‌شود. این اطلاعات هرگز از گوشی شما خارج نمی‌شود و با حذف برنامه یا پاک‌کردن داده‌های آن، از بین می‌رود.
اشتراک‌گذاری نتیجه (تنها به‌درخواست شما)
هنگامی که تصمیم می‌گیرید یک اندازه‌گیری را به اشتراک بگذارید، برنامه اعداد را روی یک کپی از عکس شما ترسیم می‌کند، آن تصویر را در حافظهٔ نهانِ خصوصیِ خود ذخیره می‌کند و آن را به صفحهٔ اشتراک‌گذاریِ سیستم اندروید می‌سپارد. شما انتخاب می‌کنید که به کجا برود — یک پیام‌رسان، ایمیل، فایل‌ها و مانند آن. این تنها زمانی رخ می‌دهد که روی اشتراک‌گذاری بزنید و مقصد کاملاً توسط شما انتخاب می‌شود. ما هرگز تصویر به‌اشتراک‌گذاشته‌شده را دریافت نمی‌کنیم.
بدون اینترنت، بدون ردیابی
- برنامه هیچ دسترسی اینترنتی درخواست نمی‌کند، بنابراین از نظر فنی قادر به ارسال داده‌های شما به هیچ‌جا نیست.
- ما از هیچ ابزار تحلیلی، گزارش خطا یا تبلیغاتی استفاده نمی‌کنیم.
- هیچ کیت توسعهٔ ردیابیِ شخص ثالث، کوکی یا شناسهٔ تبلیغاتی وجود ندارد.
- تنها مجوز زمان‌اجرایی که برنامه درخواست می‌کند دوربین است — بدون موقعیت مکانی، مخاطبین، میکروفون یا دسترسی به حساب.
پشتیبان‌گیری دستگاه
اگر پشتیبان‌گیری خودکار اندروید یا پشتیبان‌گیری حساب گوگل را فعال کرده باشید، سیستم‌عامل ممکن است تنظیمات محلی این برنامه را در پشتیبان شخصی گوگل شما بگنجاند. این کار کاملاً توسط شما و گوگل کنترل می‌شود و ما به آن دسترسی نداریم. برای جزئیات به سیاست حریم خصوصی گوگل مراجعه کنید.
پیوندهای بیرونی
برنامه و این وب‌سایت به سایت توسعه‌دهنده (cocode.dk)، پروفایل لینکدین و صفحهٔ گیت‌هابِ پروژه پیوند دارند. انتخاب آن‌ها مرورگر شما را باز می‌کند و این سایت‌ها تابع سیاست‌های حریم خصوصی خودشان هستند.
کودکان
این برنامه آگاهانه هیچ داده‌ای را از هیچ‌کس، از جمله کودکان، جمع‌آوری نمی‌کند.
تغییرات
در صورت تغییر این سیاست، نسخهٔ به‌روزشده با تاریخ جدید در همین صفحه منتشر خواهد شد.
